We investigate whether your measurement can answer
An iceberg. Above the waterline, the data each tool reports: LinkedIn Ads shows 23 clicks, Google Ads shows 12 conversions, the CRM shows leads up this quarter. Below it, what is actually true: only 9 of those 23 clicks reached analytics; those 12 conversions were 3 real form fills, each counted four times; and revenue didn't move despite more leads.
Where it breaks
Not because nobody is measuring. Because what is being measured doesn't survive contact with the decision.
Is the number measuring the thing you actually care about?
A signal stands in for an outcome, and then quietly replaces it. Form fills stop meaning qualified interest. Conversions stop meaning conversations. The number keeps improving because the number is what everyone is now optimising.
The dashboard says 200 conversions. Sales says 12 were real.
Is the system seeing everything it is supposed to see?
Data that never arrives doesn't look like an error. It looks like a smaller number. Tags fire late, events don't fire at all, parameters get dropped between the click and the page - and the gap reads as underperformance.

Does anything connect the activity to the business outcome?
Acquisition data lives in one system, leads in another, pipeline in a third. Each is accurate on its own. Nothing joins them, so nobody can say which acquisition activity produced the revenue that actually landed.
More leads than last quarter. Same revenue.
Activity metrics aren't the problem. Sessions, clicks and form fills are useful signals. The failure is when one of them gets treated as the business outcome it was only ever standing in for.
The evidence chain
Between an ad click and money in the bank there are several handoffs. A decision is only as reliable as the weakest one it depends on.
Confidence drops as the chain runs on. Every link adds a system, a handoff, a delay and a human judgement, so a clean, unbroken line from spend to revenue is rarely available in practice.
The goal isn't perfect attribution. It's decision-grade evidence: enough continuity to defend the decision in front of you, and a clear account of the links where confidence runs out.

August is a partial month: the account was captured on the 26th, against a complete July. The improvement came from decisions the corrected data made possible - measurement didn't create the leads, it made it possible to tell which ones were real.
What we investigate
Do the numbers mean what they claim to mean?
Whether events fire once, fire correctly, and represent the action they are named after. Whether a conversion is a conversion.
Does the chain hold, and where does it break?
Where source information is lost, where sessions go unrecorded, and which links in the chain can carry a decision - and which cannot.
Can acquisition activity be related to lead quality and pipeline?
How far the connection can realistically be taken with the systems you have. Sometimes that is closed revenue. Often it is qualified lead, and the honest answer is to say so rather than model the rest.
Would better measurement change what you do?
The test isn't whether a number can be produced. It's whether a decision would be made differently if it moved.
What this sometimes means in practice
These are consequences of the diagnosis, not the scope. We don't arrive with an analytics platform to install.

Work through the chain and establish what your measurement can and cannot currently see.

Yes, along with Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and whatever CRM you're on. But we don't start there. We start with the decision you can't currently make, then work out which part of your analytics and tracking stack is preventing it.
That's often where we start. We establish what exists, what's misreporting and what was never set up, then rebuild the parts a decision actually depends on.
Partly, and we'll be specific about how far. Connecting acquisition to leads and to lead quality is usually achievable. Connecting it cleanly to closed revenue depends on your CRM discipline and your sales cycle. We'll tell you where the chain holds and where it runs out rather than modelling the gap.
Where one helps a recurring decision, yes. A dashboard is an output of the work, not the point of it. If the underlying signals can't be trusted, a better-looking report only makes the wrong decision faster.
